Home from another burning man. it's just a bit strange to slide right back into the work routine. I think the urge to walk up to anyone, talk, laugh, maybe even give them a hug will slowly subside, but i hope not because downtown feels like it's filled with drones.
It was an incredible time. We've come a long way in our camp skills, and our structure was a palace. Our group that called this home grew to include Arthur, Britt, and the aussies on one side of us in a winnebago as well as Beanie, joe, brian, and crew under a 90-foot parachute on the other side. Beanie went big bringing an orange school bus, multiple domes, a shower, tons of water, and a baby pool. She makes it happen.
We went out on tuesday this year and i really enjoyed the extra time. We had plenty of time to see everything, and plenty of nights to shake it. Julie came out late thursday night, and i she loved it. It was great to see her jump right in and have a blast. Heather came from LA, and partied with us, and I was able to see Geoff's band rock out, and they are really good.
During the day we rode the roller coaster, exchanged foot massages, swung on the giant granite slabs, lounged, drank, rode, and made friends. During the night the place gets crazy as the desert comes to life in the glow of neon and lazer light. The music was incredible this year, space cowboys, summer solstice, and much more. What an incredible time.
